Censorship in images
Censorship took different forms. When people wanted to censor just a small part of a book, they had various techniques to make the sensitive or inappropriate information disappear, such as crossing out, scratching or burning away, painting over, gluing or tearing out pages... For example, certain naked figures were suddenly given clothes or offensive figures were coloured away.
Three half-naked women were given skirts.
