Clearly, the printing press had a huge impact on Dieric Bouts' world. In our time too, the technological revolution of the internet (and artificial intelligence) is revolutionising our knowledge and information landscape. This raises questions about the accessibility of reliable knowledge in this age where information is always and everywhere at our fingertips. 'Alternative facts' and the need to be able to distinguish between fake news and correct information are frequent topics of conversation. With this exhibition, we wanted to show that these topics are certainly not new, but also provided food for thought centuries ago.
