A book by Eycius Puteanus containing the correction of a serious misprint

ErycI Pvteani Olympiades, sola manv, vt vere annis mvndi respondent, compvtatæ.

As with many authors, Erycius Puteanus (1574-1646) closely monitored the process of printing his works. However, in the copy of Olympiades owned by Special Collections, the printer mistook the right hand (manus dextera) for the left (manus sinistra) in a passage that demonstrates how you can use your hands as a tool for calculations. Puteanus noticed the blunder and corrected the mistake himself. He also added annotations throughout the copy. There are several copies of Olympiades preserved in Flanders, but this is the only one with written corrections by Puteanus.
